Issued 9:30 AM NDT 17 June 2025 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 9:30 a.m. NDT today intensifying trough located over LabradorSea.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday departing low 1001 mb located east of
the Marine District.
At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight deepening low 995 mb located near
James Bay.
By 9:30 p.m. NDT Wednesday low 981 mb located near Nain.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:14 AM NDT 17 June 2025 A trough of low pressure over the Labrador Sea will intensify into alow pressure system as it tracks northeastward today. Strong to gale
force northwesterlies behind the low are expected over the Labrador
Sea later today and will diminish after midnight as the low pulls
away.
A low pressure system over James Bay this evening will deepen as it
tracks northeastward to lie near Nain by Wednesday evening. Strong to
gale force south to southeasterlies will develop ahead of the low
Wednesday afternoon and then wrap around the low by the evening as it
moves offshore.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville and South Labrador Coast.
