By 9:30 a.m. NDT today departing low 1007 mb located south of
Greenland.
At 4:00 a.m. NDT Sunday approaching low 993 mb located over the
northern Grand Banks.
At 4:00 a.m. NDT today building ridge located over Quebec.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT today quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over the North Labrador Coast.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:44 AM NDT 11 April 2026 A low pressure system over the East Labrador Sea will depart east ofthe district this morning. Strong to gale force northwesterly winds
will diminish behind the low this morning.
A second low pressure system will approach the district from the
south on Sunday. Strong to gale force northwesterly to northerly
winds will develop over southern waters late Sunday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea - southeastern half and
Northwest Labrador Sea.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for South Labrador Sea and Northwest Labrador Sea.
