Wind variable 10 to 15 knots increasing to east 35 to 45 near noon then veering to south 35 to 45 this evening. Wind increasing to west 55 to 65 Thursday morning then diminishing to west 45 to 55 Thursday afternoon.

Snow changing to rain this afternoon then to flurries Thursday afternoon. Visibility 1 mile or less in snow.

Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 9:30 AM NST 13 November 2019 Today Tonight and Thursday At 9:30 a.m. NST today deepening low 988 mb located south of
Lake Melville.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Thursday low 960 mb located over the eastern
Northwest Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:14 AM NST 13 November 2019 A low pressure system south of Lake Melville will rapidly intensify
as it moves to lie over the Northwest Labrador Sea by overnight
tonight. Strong to gale force northeasterlies ahead of the low will
shift to gale to hurricane force northwesterlies in its wake this
evening. Westerly winds will slowly diminish late on Thursday as the
low moves northwards into Davis Strait.

Marine interests are advised that hurricane force wind warnings are
in effect for South Labrador Sea - northwestern half, Northwest
Labrador Sea and East Labrador Sea. Storm warnings are in effect for
the Labrador coast and South Labrador Sea - southeastern half. A gale
warning is in effect for Lake Melville.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Lake Melville and the Labrador coast.
