Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 9:30 AM NDT 23 September 2020 Today Tonight and Thursday At 9:30 a.m. NDT today trough located over the North Labrador Coast.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Thursday departing trough located north of the
Northwest Labrador Sea.

At 4:00 a.m. NDT Thursday approaching Post-tropical Storm TEDDY
978 mb located near the Strait of Belle Isle.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:33 AM NDT 23 September 2020 A trough of low pressure over the North Labrador Coast will slowly
track across the Northwest Labrador Sea today and will depart north
of the district tonight. Strong to gale force southeasterly winds are
expected over northern waters ahead of the trough.

Post tropical storm Teddy is expected to approach the marine district
from the southwest tonight. Teddy will move to lie over the Northwest
Labrador Sea by the end of the forecast period. Gale to storm force
southeasterlies are expected to develop ahead of the system and will
shift to strong to gale force northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
the East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters except Lake Melville.
