Issued 9:30 PM NDT 11 March 2026 Tonight and Thursday At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight low 978 mb located over the East LabradorSea.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT Thursday departing low 994 mb located southeast
of Greenland.
At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight ridge located from the Grand Banks to
Hudson Bay.
By 9:30 p.m. NDT Thursday ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over the South Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:26 PM NDT 11 March 2026 An intense low pressure system over the East Labrador Sea will tracksoutheastward to lie southeast of Greenland by Thursday afternoon.
Gale to storm force westerly to northwesterly winds south of and on
the back side of the low will gradually ease overnight through
Thursday as a ridge of high pressure builds in from the west.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
North Labrador Coast - north of Saglek and the Labrador Sea.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters except Lake
Melville.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
