Issued 9:30 AM NST 1 March 2021 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 9:30 a.m. NST today low 985 mb located over central Quebec.By 9:30 a.m. NST Tuesday weakening trough located on a line
north-south over the Torngat Mountains.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Tuesday approaching trough located over
southwestern Newfoundland.
At 9:30 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over the Mid Labrador Coast.
By 9:30 p.m. NST tonight dissipating ridge located on a line
north-south over the East Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:19 AM NST 1 March 2021 A low pressure system will track northeastwards across NorthernQuebec today before weakening into a trough over the Torngat
mountains tonight. Gale force southeasterlies are expected over
northwestern waters ahead of this low today. The gale force
southeasterlies will diminish as the trough weakens further on
Tuesday.
Meanwhile, a trough of low pressure will approach the marine district
from the southwest on Tuesday. Strong to gale force east to
southeasterly winds will spread across most waters on Tuesday ahead
of this trough.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.
Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for Northwest Labrador Sea.
