Issued 9:30 PM NST 5 March 2026 Tonight and Friday At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight trough located on a linenortheast-southwest over the northern East Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 p.m. NST Friday trough located southeast of the Marine
District.
At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Quebec.
By 9:30 p.m. NST Friday ridge located on a line north-south over
Labrador.
At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight departing trough located southeast of
the Marine District.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:32 PM NST 5 March 2026 A trough of low pressure over the Northern East Labrador Sea willsweep southeastward across the East Labrador Sea tonight before
moving off the east on Friday. Meanwhile, a ridge of high pressure
will approach the marine district from the west. Strong to gale force
northwesterlies over most waters between these two features will
gradually diminish as the trough moves away and the ridge approaches.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville and North Labrador Coast - Saglek and
south.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open water.
