Issued 9:30 AM NST 24 January 2019 Today Tonight and Friday At 9:30 a.m. NST today ridge located over Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 p.m. NST tonight departing ridge located east of the
Marine District.

At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight intensifying low 986 mb located over Maine.
By 9:30 p.m. NST Friday low 967 mb located over Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:20 AM NST 24 January 2019 A deepening low pressure system approaching from the southwest today
will track across Central Labrador Friday morning and then move into
the Labrador Sea by Friday evening. Gale to storm force
southeasterlies will spread across all waters tonight ahead of this
feature. Winds will shift to strong to gale force southwesterlies in
its wake.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
the East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect for South Labrador
Coast, Mid Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea and Northwest Labrador
Sea.

Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for Northwest Labrador Sea.
