Issued 10:53 PM MDT 19 October 2019 Blizzard conditions developing in Lancaster Sound overnight Sunday. These conditions are expected to persist until overnight Monday or early Tuesday morning.

Discussion:

Easterly winds near 25 kt are forecast to develop overnight tonight and will steadily increase throughout the day on Sunday, reaching gale strength by the afternoon. Winds increase to 40-45 kt by late Sunday night accompanied by falling snow, producing blizzard conditions until the winds begin to taper off early Tuesday morning.
