Wind light except southeast 15 knots northwest of Estevan Point late this afternoon and this evening. Wind becoming southeast 10 to 20 after midnight then increasing to southeast 20 to 30 early Saturday morning except southeast 25 to 35 northwest of Estevan Point Saturday late in the day.

Scattered showers ending this afternoon. Periods of rain Saturday late in the day. Fog patches dissipating near noon.

Issued 10:30 AM PDT 17 April 2026 Today Tonight and Saturday At 10:30 a.m. PDT today ridge located on a line north-south over
northern Vancouver Island.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT today weakening ridge located on a line north-south
over southern Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 p.m. PDT today frontal system located west of the offshore
waters.
By 10:30 a.m. PDT Saturday frontal system located near Haida Gwaii.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:33 AM PDT 17 April 2026 An approaching frontal system will bring southeasterly gales to the
offshore waters late this afternoon through tonight.

On Saturday, as the system slowly moves eastward, southeasterly gales
will spread across most marine regions except the inner South Coast.
