Issued 10:30 AM PDT 21 October 2019 Today Tonight and Tuesday At noon PDT today low located over western Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT today departing low located near Langara.

At 3:00 a.m. PDT Tuesday building ridge located on a line
north-south over western Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT Tuesday ridge located on a line north-south
over Explorer.

At 8:00 a.m. PDT Tuesday trough located west of Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT Tuesday trough located over Haida Gwaii.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:22 AM PDT 21 October 2019 A vigorous low pressure system will move across northern waters today
making land fall on the North Coast this evening. Gale force
southeast winds ahead of the low will switch to gale to storm force
westerlies in its wake.

Gale force southwesterly winds will funnel up the North Coast
mainland inlets as the low moves into northern Interior British
Columbia.

The associated frontal passage will impact the South Coast as well.
Gale force southeasterlies will develop in the Northern Strait of
Georgia this afternoon and abruptly switch to strong northwesterlies
Tuesday morning. Westerly gale force winds will also impact the Juan
de Fuca Strait tonight through Tuesday morning.
