Marine Weather StatementIssued 10:19 AM PDT 19 October 2018 An intense low pressure system will move northward towards Alaska
today while the associated cold front moves onto the North Coast.
The cold front will weaken as pushes southward later this afternoon
and this evening eventually dissipating near Cape Scott overnight.
On Saturday, a ridge of high pressure will build over queen
Gale force southeasterlies will prevail over most northern and
central waters today ahead of the cold front. Winds will shift to
moderate to strong west or southwest behind it, with gale force
southwesterlies forecast over the northern offshore waters.
On Saturday, strong to gale force southerlies will persist over the
northern offshore waters. Light to moderate winds will prevail
elsewhere under the ridge.
