northeast-southwest over Bowie.

Issued 4:01 PM PDT 18 August 2026 A strengthening ridge of high pressure over Bowie will produce strong
to gale force northwesterly winds over west coast Vancouver Island
and Johnstone Strait Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning.
