At 10:30 a.m. PST today trough located on a line north-south over
the Central Coast.
By 4:00 p.m. PST today weakening trough located on a line
north-south over the Central Coast.
At 10:30 a.m. PST today ridge located on a line north-south
over Bowie.
By 1:00 a.m. PST Monday dissipating ridge located on a line
north-south over Langara.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 10:00 AM PST 17 February 2019 A trough of low pressure over the Central Coast will remain nearlystationary today. West of the trough, strong northerly winds prevail
over northern and central waters and off the west coast of Vancouver
Island. Strong to gale force outflow winds through the mainland
inlets will persist through this afternoon.
As the trough weakens this afternoon, winds will diminish to moderate
to strong over most waters and through the mainland inlets.
