Issued 4:00 PM PDT 8 May 2025 Tonight and Friday At 4:00 p.m. PDT today quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
north-south over Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 p.m. PDT today low located west of Bowie.
By 11:30 p.m. PDT tonight departing low located northwest of Bowie.

At 4:00 a.m. PDT Friday trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT Friday weakening trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over Bowie.

At 6:00 p.m. PDT Friday approaching low located west of the
offshore waters.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:47 PM PDT 8 May 2025 A series of impulses continues to bring strong southerlies to much of
the central and northern waters. By Friday afternoon, as a trough
sweeps through the marine region, winds along Dixon Entrance East and
Northern Hecate Strait can expect southerly gales to develop, before
returning to strong southerlies Friday evening.
