Issued 4:00 PM PDT 23 May 2024 Tonight and Friday At 4:00 p.m. PDT today trough located on a line north-south over
Queen Charlotte Sound.
By 4:00 a.m. PDT Friday departing trough located on a line
north-south over southeastern Explorer.

At 4:00 p.m. PDT today ridge located west of the offshore waters.
By 9:30 p.m. PDT Friday ridge located over Bowie.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:53 PM PDT 23 May 2024 The trough over Queen Charlotte Sound continues to move southeastward
tonight. Ahead of the trough, southeasterly gales over central waters
and near the headlands of Vancouver Island will ease this evening.

A ridge of high pressure building over offshore waters tonight will
slowly shift eastward to lie over Bowie Friday evening. Strong
northwesterly winds developing ahead of the ridge will rise to
northwest gales over waters west of Vancouver Island on Friday
evening.
