By 4:00 a.m. PST Saturday ridge located over BC interior.

At 4:00 p.m. PST today warm front located off Bowie.
By 10:00 a.m. PST Saturday warm front located on a line north-south
over Hecate Strait.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:50 AM PST 15 December 2017 A ridge of high pressure will build over the central offshore waters
today and shift to the BC Interior Saturday. Gale force northwest
winds will develop off the west coast of Vancouver Island today.

A warm front will approach the northern offshore waters late this
afternoon and move to lie over Hecate Strait by Saturday morning.
Ahead of the front winds will rise to gale force southerly over
northern and central waters. Winds will shift to gale force
southwesterly behind the front.
