Issued 11:27 PM PDT 14 June 2024 Conditions are favourable for the development of waterspouts.

When: Tonight through Saturday.

Where: The Strait of Georgia, and Howe Sound.

Hazard: Wind speeds inside the spray ring of a waterspout can be 45 knots or higher. Keep in mind that waterspouts cannot be seen at night and may strike suddenly.

If waterspout activity becomes more frequent, a special marine warning may be issued.
