Wind southeast 30 to 40 knots except southeast 45 northwest of Estevan Point. Wind becoming southwest 35 near noon then diminishing to west 20 to 30 this afternoon. Wind diminishing to west 10 to 20 this evening except northwest 20 near the coast south of Tofino Friday late in the day.

Rain changing to showers this afternoon and ending Friday morning. Visibility 1 mile or less in rain.

Issued 10:30 AM PDT 10 April 2025 Today Tonight and Friday At 10:30 a.m. PDT today deepening low 995 mb located 70 miles
southwest of Cape St. James.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT today departing low 996 mb located over southern
Hecate Strait.

By 4:00 p.m. PDT today building ridge located south of Explorer.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:23 AM PDT 10 April 2025 A deepening low will track across central waters today and reach the
Central Coast by early this evening. This will generate gale to
Storm force southerlies ahead of the low and northwesterly gales to
storm force winds in its wake.

Waters around the inner South Coast will also experience strong to
gale force southeasterly winds. Localized southwesterly gale force
gusts are also possible late in the afternoon following the frontal
passage.
