panhandle to Vancouver Island.
By 4:00 p.m. PST today trough from low located from the Alaska
panhandle to Washington State.

At 4:00 a.m. PST Saturday ridge located over the Central Coast.

At 4:00 p.m. PST Saturday low 982 mb located over the Gulf of
Alaska.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:53 AM PST 23 February 2018 A trough extending from a low over the Gulf of Alaska will extend
southwards from the Gulf of Alaska to Northern Vancouver Island
Today continuing to Washington state this afternoon. Westerly gales
have developed in its wake over the northern waters and will extend
to the central and southern waters tonight. The winds will ease by
Saturday morning

A 982 MB low will approach the Gulf of Alaska Saturday afternoon.
Ahead of the low, gale to storm force westerly winds will develop
beginning late Saturday morning over the northern waters then extend
to the central and southern waters early Saturday evening.
