Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 10:30 AM PDT 19 October 2026 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 10:30 a.m. PDT today departing low 1002 mb located south of
Explorer.

At 5:00 p.m. PDT today frontal system located west of Bowie.
By 5:00 p.m. PDT Tuesday weakening frontal system located on a
line northeast-southwest over southern Bowie.

At 10:30 a.m. PDT Tuesday ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over Queen Charlotte Sound.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:16 AM PDT 19 October 2026 A low south of Explorer is weakening and moving away. The winds in
Explorer region have eased below gale force.

Strong to gale force southwesterly winds will develop over the
northern half of Bowie this evening as a frontal system
Approaches. Gales will spread to Haida Gwaii, Dixon Entrance and
Hecate Strait on Tuesday. The front will lie across Southern Bowie
and Southern Haida Gwaii late Tuesday will winds weakening to
moderate westerlies Thursday night.
