Issued 4:00 AM PST 2 March 2021 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 4:00 a.m. PST today cold front located over Hecate Strait.By 4:00 p.m. PST today weakening cold front located on a line
northeast-southwest over northern Vancouver Island.
At 10:30 a.m. PST Wednesday deepening trough located west of Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Wednesday trough located over southern Haida Gwaii.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 6:06 AM PST 2 March 2021 A cold front tracking across Hecate Strait will slide south along themainland coast to lie over North Vancouver Island this afternoon.
Ahead of the front, southerly gales have developed over Bowie, and
spread to northern and central waters this morning. In its wake,
winds will shift to strong to gale force westerlies which will ease
tonight.
A trough of low pressure will approach the offshore waters on
Wednesday. Ahead of the trough, strong to gale force southwesterly
winds will develop over the central waters and North Vancouver
Island.
