Issued 9:30 PM PST 14 December 2018 Tonight and Saturday At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight ridge located on a line north-south over
northern Vancouver Island.
By 4:00 a.m. PST Saturday departing ridge located over the South
Coast.

At 4:00 a.m. PST Saturday frontal system located west of the
offshore waters.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Saturday frontal system located from the Alaska
panhandle to Explorer.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:32 PM PST 14 December 2018 A frontal system has departed the inner South Coast earlier this
evening. Gale force westerly winds through Juan de Fuca Strait
And inflow winds through Howe Sound will ease tonight.

Another intense frontal system will approach the offshore waters
tonight then move onto the mainland coast on Saturday. Widespread
gale to storm force southeast winds will be generated ahead of the
front with hurricane force winds over parts of the northern and
central waters.
