BC interior.

At 4:00 a.m. PST Wednesday low 967 mb located 680 miles southwest
of Explorer.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Wednesday low 970 mb located 360 miles southwest
of Explorer.

At 4:00 a.m. PST Wednesday frontal system located southwest of
By 4:00 p.m. PST Wednesday frontal system located on a line
northwest-southeast over southeastern Explorer.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:50 PM PST 15 January 2019 A ridge of high pressure over the BC Interior will gradually
intensify Wednesday night and begin to weaken Thursday afternoon.
Strong to gale force northeasterly outflow winds near the mainland
inlets will increase to gale to storm force on Wednesday night.

A frontal system will move into Explorer Wednesday morning. The
Front will lie from Explorer to Bowie through the rest of Wednesday.
The front will merge and reintensify with another Pacific system
approaching Explorer from the southwest Wednesday night. Gale force
southeasterly winds will develop over southern offshore waters later
tonight then spread to parts of the central and southern waters on
Wednesday. Southeast winds will further intensify Wednesday night
over the offshore southern waters.
