Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 10:30 AM PDT 22 September 2026 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 10:30 a.m. PDT today quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over central Vancouver Island.

At 10:30 a.m. PDT today departing frontal system located over
Hecate Strait.

At 10:30 a.m. PDT today low 990 mb located northwest of Bowie.
By 5:00 a.m. PDT Wednesday weakening low 995 mb located over the
northeastern Gulf of Alaska.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:32 AM PDT 22 September 2026 A frontal system passing through Hecate Strait. Gales in Hecate
Strait and Eastern Dixon will ease near noon.

A 990 MB low northwest of Bowie will slowly weaken and drift
Towards into the Northeastern Gulf of Alaska. Near this system,
Gale force southwesterly winds have developed over Northern Bowie
offshore region. The gale force southwesterly winds will ease
overnight tonight.
