Wind northwest 20 to 30 knots diminishing to southwest 10 to 20 early this morning then backing to southeast 15 to 25 this afternoon. Wind increasing to southeast 25 to 35 early this evening then veering to southwest 30 to 40 late this evening. Wind increasing to northwest 45 to 55 late overnight then diminishing to northwest 35 to 45 Monday morning. Wind diminishing to northwest 25 to 35 Monday afternoon and to northwest 20 to 25 Monday evening.

Showers changing to rain this afternoon then to scattered showers Monday morning.

Issued 4:00 AM PST 3 November 2024 Today Tonight and Monday At 4:00 a.m. PST today ridge located from Hecate Strait to Explorer.
By 4:00 p.m. PST today ridge located from the North Coast to
Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 p.m. PST today low 1004 mb located west of Bowie.
By 4:00 a.m. PST Monday low 991 mb located over Hecate Strait.

At 9:30 a.m. PST Monday low 995 mb located over central BC interior.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Monday departing low 998 mb located over
southeastern BC interior.

At 4:00 p.m. PST Monday building ridge located west of the offshore
waters.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:48 AM PST 3 November 2024 Westerly marginal gales over northern waters will ease early this
morning as a ridge of high pressure builds over the marine regions.
The ridge will shift eastward allowing an intense low pressure system
to approach Bowie late this afternoon.

This low will move eastward across Haida Gwaii tonight, and then over
the Central Coast and into interior regions on Monday.

Ahead of the low, southerly gale to storm force winds will develop
tonight. Behind the low, northwesterly gale to storm force winds are
expected overnight into Monday. During Monday morning, northwesterly
winds over central waters will reach hurricane force.
