At 4:00 p.m. PDT Friday departing frontal system located over
Vancouver Island.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:42 PM PDT 30 March 2023 A Pacific frontal system over Bowie this afternoon will tracksoutheastward tonight. Strong to gale force southerly winds are
expected ahead of the system. In its wake, winds shift to strong to
gale force westerly or northwesterly.
The frontal system will reach Vancouver Island Friday afternoon and
generate strong to marginal gale force southeasterly winds in the
Strait of Georgia. Strong to marginal gale force westerly winds are
expected in the Juan de Fuca Strait as the system departs the South
Coast Friday evening.
