Issued 9:30 PM PST 20 February 2025 Tonight and Friday At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight intensifying frontal system located
off Explorer.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Friday departing frontal system located from the
North Coast to Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 p.m. PST Friday low 978 mb located off Bowie.
By 9:30 p.m. PST Friday low 986 mb located over northern Bowie.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:11 PM PST 20 February 2025 A frontal system will track northwards across Explorer tonight and
Haida Gwaii on Friday before moving onto the North Coast in the
evening. Ahead of the front, southerly gales over Explorer and west
coast Vancouver Island will spread to central and northern waters
overnight into Friday morning as gale to storm force southeasterlies.
In its wake, winds will gradually ease to strong to gale force
southerlies. Marginal southeast hurricane force winds are possible
Friday morning off the northern tip of Vancouver Island.
