Wind diminishing to northwest 15 to 20 late overnight except variable 5 to 15 near the mainland coast. Wind becoming variable 5 to 15 Wednesday morning then becoming southeast 10 to 15 early Wednesday evening.

Rain changing to showers near midnight and ending Wednesday morning.

northeast-southwest over central Vancouver Island.
By 4:00 a.m. PDT Wednesday weakening trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over the Lower Mainland.

At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight building ridge located on a line
north-south over Bowie.
By 9:30 p.m. PDT Wednesday weakening ridge located from Explorer
to the North Coast.

At 9:30 p.m. PDT Wednesday approaching trough located off Bowie.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:12 PM PDT 21 May 2024 A trough tracking southwards across Vancouver Island combined with a
building ridge offshore will continue to give strong to gale force
northwesterlies over offshore and central coastal waters, West
Vancouver Island, Georgia Strait and Juan de Fuca Strait. Winds
Will gradually ease overnight through Wednesday morning.
