over Hecate Strait.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT today quasi-stationary ridge located from the
Central Coast to Explorer.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 10:14 AM PDT 14 May 2021 A ridge of high pressure over Haida Gwaii will slowly move eastward
today and lie over the Central Coast by this afternoon. Ahead of the
ridge, gale force northwesterlies will persist over west coast
Vancouver Island and spread to Johnstone Strait this afternoon.
The gales will gradually ease to strong northwesterly overnight.
