Issued 10:30 AM PST 8 December 2025 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 10:30 a.m. PST today low 977 mb located over Bowie.By 7:00 p.m. PST tonight departing low 980 mb located over the
southern Alaska panhandle.
At 10:00 a.m. PST Tuesday frontal system located southwest of the
offshore waters.
By 10:00 p.m. PST Tuesday frontal system located from Hecate Strait
to Vancouver Island.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 10:34 AM PST 8 December 2025 A frontal system moving through the northern waters today will bringstorm force westerlies across the northern waters. Hurricane force
gusts are possible with this system, particularly over Bowie and
northern section of west coast Haida Gwaii.
Southwesterly gales have developed across Explorer and the southern
waters and will spread into Juan de Fuca Strait this afternoon.
Over the Strait of Georgia southeasterly gales are expected this
afternoon. Winds will ease tonight as the system moves inland.
Another front will approach the offshore waters on Tuesday, bringing
southeast gales to the central and northern waters. Winds will shift
to strong to gale force westerly behind the system Tuesday night.
