Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:28 AM PST 23 February 2018 A low over the Alaskan Panhandle has a trough extending southwards
into the Washington coast today. Westerly gales have developed west
of the trough over the northern and central waters and will spread
into most southern waters tonight. A ridge behind the trough will
provide a brief period of moderate to strong westerlies Saturday
morning for northern and central waters and then Saturday afternoon
for the southern waters.

The next system will quickly follow the ridge in the form of a 982
MB low moving into the Gulf of Alaska Saturday. Ahead of the low,
gale to storm force westerly winds will develop Saturday morning
Over the northern waters, Saturday afternoon for the central waters,
then Saturday evening for the southern waters.
