Lower Mainland.

At 4:00 a.m. PST today ridge located over the offshore waters.
By 4:00 p.m. PST today departing ridge located over Vancouver
Island.

At 4:00 a.m. PST today cold front from 996 mb low located west
of Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PST today cold front from 984 mb low located on a
line north-south over Queen Charlotte Sound.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:47 AM PST 24 February 2018 A low pressure system near the Lower Mainland will move southward
Out of the South Coast this morning. Associated with the low, gale
force northwesterly winds will continue this morning over parts of
the central and southern waters.

A 996 MB low will develop over the Gulf of Alaska this morning. The
associated cold front located west of Bowie will move southeastward
to Queen Charlotte Sound by late this afternoon. Ahead of the front,
gale to storm force westerly winds will develop this morning over
The northern waters, this afternoon for the central waters, then
