Issued 4:00 AM PDT 24 April 2018 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 4:00 a.m. PDT today building ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over Haida Gwaii.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT today ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over Bowie.

At 4:00 a.m. PDT today quasi-stationary trough located west of
Vancouver Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:48 AM PDT 24 April 2018 A ridge of high pressure over BC Interior in combination with a
trough west of Vancouver Island will produce marginal gale force
northerly outflow winds through Howe Sound this morning. The winds
will ease later this morning but will redevelop overnight and
Wednesday morning.

Another ridge of high pressure is building over the northern
Offshore waters. The trough west of the Vancouver Island will
intensify tonight. Marginal gale force northerly winds will develop
tonight and Wednesday morning over Explorer, west coast Vancouver
Island, Queen Charlotte Sound and Hecate Strait.
