Wind backing to north 35 to 45 after midnight then to northwest 25 to 35 Saturday morning. Wind diminishing to westerly 15 to 25 Saturday afternoon then becoming southwest 15 Saturday evening.

Showers changing to rain early this morning then to showers near noon Saturday.

Issued 4:00 AM PST 13 December 2024 Today Tonight and Saturday At 4:00 a.m. PST today low located southwest of Explorer.
By 9:30 p.m. PST tonight deepening low 980 mb located over
southeastern Explorer.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:55 AM PST 13 December 2024 A low pressure system will approach exploreer today and slowly move
to the B.C. Interior on Saturday afternoon.

Over the southern and central waters, gale to storm force southeast
winds will develop ahead of the low and gale to storm force north
Or northwest winds will develop behind the low. These winds will
diminish as the low moves to the B.C. Interior and a ridge of high
pressure builds on Saturday night.
