Issued 9:30 PM PDT 14 October 2024 Tonight and Tuesday At 8:00 a.m. PDT Tuesday trough located off the offshore waters.
By 11:00 p.m. PDT Tuesday trough located from Hecate Strait
to Tofino.

At 2:00 p.m. PDT Tuesday deepening low located over northern
Explorer.
By 10:00 p.m. PDT Tuesday low 999 mb located over northern Hecate
Strait.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:16 PM PDT 14 October 2024 A trough moving across the northern and central waters Tuesday will
generate southerly strong to gale force winds from Eastern Dixon
Entrance to Southern Explorer. Late Tuesday afternoon, a small but
intense low pressure centre will develop over Northern Explorer and
move quickly into Hecate Strait Tuesday evening. Gale force winds
with sudden wind direction changes will accompany this system.
