At 1:00 p.m. PST Saturday departing low 987 mb located over the
northern Strait of Georgia.
At 9:30 p.m. PST Saturday building ridge located over the offshore
waters.

Issued 9:19 PM PST 13 December 2024 A low pressure system will move through Explorer tonight, slowlycross Vancouver Island through Saturday then move into the B.C.
Interior by late in the day Saturday.
Over the southern and central waters, gale to storm force southeast
winds will develop ahead of the low and gale to storm force north
Or northwest winds will develop behind the low. These winds will
diminish as the low moves to the B.C. Interior and a ridge of high
pressure builds on Saturday night.
