Issued 9:18 PM PDT 6 August 2026 Ahead of the ridge of high pressure, northwesterly winds off the westcoast of Vancouver Island, south of the Brooks Peninsula, will
briefly reach gale force this evening before easing to strong
northwesterlies early Friday morning.
Westerly winds will strengthen to gale force over the Juan de Fuca
strait Friday evening before weakening to strong winds overnight.
