Issued 10:30 AM PDT 18 May 2025 Today Tonight and Monday At 10:30 a.m. PDT today ridge located on a line northwest-southeastover Explorer.
By 5:00 p.m. PDT today departing ridge located on a line north-south
over Vancouver Island.
At 10:30 a.m. PDT today frontal system located over Bowie.
By 4:00 a.m. PDT Monday departing frontal system located from
Hecate Strait to the Central Coast.
At 11:00 p.m. PDT tonight deepening low 998 mb located over Bowie.
By 2:00 p.m. PDT Monday weakening low 1001 mb located over Haida
Gwaii.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 10:17 AM PDT 18 May 2025 A frontal system is approaching the offshore, northern, and centralwaters today. The front will spread gale force southerly or
southeasterly winds beginning near noon along Bowie, then reach the
above mentioned regions by this evening and persist until Monday
morning.
A centre of low pressure associated with the frontal system will move
eastward over Bowie this evening. Westerly gales behind this low will
develop over Explorer tonight before easing to strong Monday morning.
