Wind west 20 knots diminishing to light this morning then increasing to easterly 10 to 20 near noon. Wind increasing to west 20 to 30 near midnight except west 35 over western sections. Wind becoming west 15 to 25 overnight then diminishing to west 10 to 15 Wednesday afternoon.

Rain beginning this evening changing to showers Wednesday evening.

Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 AM PST 9 December 2025 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 10:00 a.m. PST today frontal system located west of the offshore
waters.
By 10:00 p.m. PST tonight frontal system located from the Central
Coast to Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 a.m. PST Wednesday trough located on a line east-west over
northern Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Wednesday trough located on a line east-west over
Haida Gwaii.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:50 AM PST 9 December 2025 A frontal system will approach the offshore waters today, bringing
southeast gales to the central and northern waters. Winds will rise
to storm force southeasterlies over the central waters late this
afternoon. Winds will shift to strong to gale force westerly behind
the system this evening.

A trough will move southward from Bowie to lie over the Queen
Charlotte Sound Wednesday evening. Ahead of the trough, winds will
rise to southwesterly gales over the central waters then shift to
strong to gale force northwesterly in its wake. Winds will subside
Wednesday evening.
