interior.
By 10:30 a.m. PST today quasi-stationary ridge located over BC

Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:58 AM PST 17 February 2026 Storm force northerlies will diminish to gale force northwesterliesover the offshore waters and continue through late Wednesday.
An Arctic high pressure ridge building over Northern BC this morning
will continue pushing south today. Gale force outflow winds, with the
potential of freezing spray, can be expected through the mainland
inlets along the north and Central Coast from today through Thursday
morning. Outflow winds will reach storm force northeasterlies through
the Central Coast inlets Wednesday afternoon and night.
