By 10:30 a.m. PDT today dissipating low 998 mb located over the
Central Coast.
At 4:00 p.m. PDT today frontal system located over western Bowie.
By 4:00 a.m. PDT Saturday frontal system located over Hecate Strait.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:51 AM PDT 4 October 2024 A low pressure system will weaken over the Central Coast today.Southeast gales ahead of the low will back to gale force
northwesterlies in the wake of the low over the central waters and
the headlands of Vancouver Island today before diminishing this
evening, with a small swath of storm force winds over Explorer this
morning diminishing to strong westerlies midday.
An approaching frontal system will track across Bowie tonight.
Ahead of the front, southerly gales will develop over Bowie late in
the afternoon and then spread to northern and central waters tonight.
