Issued 9:30 PM PST 17 February 2018 Tonight and Sunday At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight low located over southern Vancouver Island.
By 7:00 a.m. PST Sunday low located over Washington State.

At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight building ridge located over BC interior.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:15 PM PST 17 February 2018 An area of low pressure over Southern Vancouver Island this
Evening will move into Washington state by tomorrow morning. A trough
of low pressure will deepen along the entire mainland coast tonight
while high pressure builds over the BC Interior.

Gale to storm force northerly winds are expected for the majority
Of outer coastal waters. Gale force outflow winds will also be a
factor near mainland inlets. These winds will continue well into
Sunday before beginning to ease.

With the prolonged northerly winds offshore, waves reaching 9 metres
are expected for offshore waters west of Vancouver Island on Sunday.

A risk of freezing spray exists through Douglas Channel tonight
And Sunday as Arctic air floods out of the BC Interior and
temperatures plummet.
