Issued 4:00 PM PDT 15 October 2024 Tonight and Wednesday At 4:00 p.m. PDT today trough located from Queen Charlotte Sound
to Explorer.
By 11:00 p.m. PDT tonight trough located from Hecate Strait
to Tofino.

At 4:00 p.m. PDT today low 1000 mb located over southern Haida
Gwaii.
By 8:00 p.m. PDT tonight low 1000 mb located over northern Hecate
Strait.

At 4:00 p.m. PDT Wednesday building ridge located west of the
offshore waters.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:44 PM PDT 15 October 2024 A trough moving across the northern and central waters is generating
southerly strong to gale force winds from Eastern Dixon Entrance to
Southern Explorer. Meanwhile, a small but intense low pressure centre
over Southern Haida Gwaii will move into Hecate Strait this evening.
Gale force winds with sudden wind direction changes will accompany
this system.
