Issued 10:30 AM PST 18 January 2021 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 10:30 a.m. PST today ridge located on a line north-south overQueen Charlotte Sound.
By 4:00 p.m. PST today ridge located over Vancouver Island.
At 10:30 a.m. PST today frontal system located west of Bowie.
By 9:30 p.m. PST tonight frontal system located on a line
north-south over Bowie.
At 4:00 a.m. PST Tuesday weakening frontal system located from
Hecate Strait to Explorer.
By 1:00 p.m. PST Tuesday frontal system located on a line
northeast-southwest over central Vancouver Island.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 10:23 AM PST 18 January 2021 A frontal system will move into Bowie today then into the North Coasttonight. The system will weaken considerably as it progresses through
the Central Coast Tuesday morning then sweeping through the South
Coast on Tuesday afternoon.
Gale to storm force southeasterlies have developed over Bowie and
will continue through today. These winds will spread into the
northern waters beginning this afternoon and continue tonight while
also progressing into the central waters. The southeast winds will
weaken considerably to strong to gale force over central waters
Tuesday morning and then over the southern waters Tuesday afternoon.
In the wake of the system, strong to gale force westerlies will
develop.
