Issued 10:30 AM PST 24 January 2021 Today Tonight and Monday At 10:30 a.m. PST today low located off Tofino.By 7:00 p.m. PST tonight weakening low located over Juan de
Fuca Strait.
At 10:30 a.m. PST today building ridge located west of the offshore
waters.
By 1:00 p.m. PST Monday weakening ridge located on a line
north-south over Bowie.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 10:23 AM PST 24 January 2021 A low pressure centre off Southwestern Vancouver island will movesoutheastward to lie over Central Juan de Fuca Strait by early this
evening. A ridge of high pressure offshore will weaken on Monday
morning.
Moderate southeast winds over the South Coast inner waters and
Waters near the coast of Southwest Vancouver island will diminish
this afternoon. Strong to gale force northwesterly winds will prevail
over most waters through this evening. The northwest winds will
gradually ease overnight and Monday morning to eventually become
light to moderate by Monday afternoon.
