Rain changing to showers this evening then to rain Saturday afternoon.

Issued 4:00 AM PST 14 December 2018 Today Tonight and Saturday At 4:00 a.m. PST today frontal system located from Cape Scott
to Explorer.
By 4:00 p.m. PST today departing frontal system located on a line
north-south over southern Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 p.m. PST today ridge located over the offshore waters.
By 4:00 a.m. PST Saturday departing ridge located over the South
Coast.

At 4:00 a.m. PST Saturday frontal system located west of the
offshore waters.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Saturday frontal system located from the Alaska
panhandle to Explorer.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:49 AM PST 14 December 2018 A frontal system stretching from Southern Explorer to Cape Scott
Will Progress eastwards across Vancouver Island today. The front
Will cross Southern Vancouver Island and depart into the BC
Interior by early this evening.

Over northern and central waters, strong to gale force northerly
winds will ease to light to moderate westerly this evening. Over
southern waters, gale force southeast winds will continue this
morning with storm force southeasterlies off the west coast of
Vancouver Island and also the Northern Strait of Georgia. Winds will
shift to strong to gale force westerlies in the wake of the frontal
passage.

Another intense frontal system will approach the offshore waters
tonight then move onto the mainland coast on Saturday. Widespread
storm to gale force southeast winds will be generated ahead of the
front with hurricane force winds over parts of the northern and
central waters.
