Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 9:30 PM PDT 14 August 2020 Tonight and Saturday At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight frontal system located from Bowie to the
North Coast.
By 9:30 p.m. PDT Saturday departing frontal system located over
the North Coast.

At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 p.m. PDT Sunday approaching low 1002 mb located off Bowie.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:13 PM PDT 14 August 2020 A frontal system will continue to remain draped across northern
waters tonight through Saturday.

Along the front, southerly gales will develop over Bowie late this
evening and spread to Dixon Entrance East and Hecate Strait
Saturday morning. The gales will ease midday Saturday, but redevelop
across Dixon Entrance East and Hecate Strait-north in the evening and
ease overnight.
