Issued 10:30 AM PST 28 January 2020 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 10:30 a.m. PST today ridge located from Haida Gwaii to Explorer.
By 4:00 p.m. PST today weakening ridge located over the South Coast.

At 4:00 p.m. PST today frontal system located west of Bowie.
By 4:00 a.m. PST Wednesday frontal system located from the Central
Coast to the South Coast.

At 4:00 p.m. PST Wednesday frontal system located west of the
offshore waters.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:49 AM PST 28 January 2020 An intense frontal system will approach the offshore waters today
then through the north and Central Coast early Wednesday morning.
Ahead of the system, storm force southeasterlies will develop over
Bowie this afternoon while gales form over northern and central
waters. As the system progresses eastwards tonight, a brief period of
hurricane force southeasterlies will develop over parts of the north
and central waters. The associated front will move across the South
Coast through Wednesday morning resulting in gale force
southeasterlies. In the wake of the system, winds will veer to gale
to storm force southwesterlies over northern and central waters while
the southern waters will experience far weaker winds ranging from
moderate to strong.

Another system will approach the offshore waters late Wednesday
bringing gale to storm force southerlies across the northern waters
Wednesday night.
