Wind southeast 45 to 50 knots diminishing to southerly 20 to 30 early this morning then increasing to southeast 35 to 45 late this afternoon. Wind diminishing to south 20 to 30 Sunday morning then becoming south 25 to 35 Sunday afternoon. Wind diminishing to west 15 to 25 Sunday evening.

At 4:00 p.m. PST today trough located west of the offshore waters.
By 4:00 a.m. PST Sunday departing trough located from Hecate Strait
to Queen Charlotte Sound.
At 4:00 a.m. PST Sunday low located west of Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Sunday departing low located northwest of Haida
Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:50 AM PST 25 January 2020 A low pressure system is passing through the offshore waters
Then through the northern coastal waters this morning. Gale force
southerly winds will prevail over most central and northern waters
ahead of the low. The winds will become strong to gale force
southwesterlies in the wake of the low later this morning.
A trough of low pressure will cross northern and central waters
Saturday night bringing gale force southerly winds to the region.
Another low pressure system will track through the northern waters on
Sunday. Ahead of the low, strong to gale force southerly winds will
develop over most northern waters. Winds will become strong to gale
force westerlies in its wake.
