Wind west 20 to 30 knots diminishing to southwest 15 early this morning then increasing to south 15 to 25 late this morning. Wind increasing to south 35 to 45 early this afternoon then becoming southeast 40 to 50 early this evening. Wind diminishing to southwest 25 to 35 late this evening then becoming southwest 20 to 30 overnight. Wind veering to northwest 15 to 25 Wednesday evening.

Showers with a risk of thunderstorms changing to rain this morning.

Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 AM PST 9 December 2025 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 10:00 a.m. PST today frontal system located west of the offshore
waters.
By 10:00 p.m. PST tonight frontal system located from the Central
Coast to Vancouver Island.

At 4:00 a.m. PST Wednesday trough located on a line east-west over
northern Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Wednesday trough located on a line east-west over
Haida Gwaii.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:50 AM PST 9 December 2025 A frontal system will approach the offshore waters today, bringing
southeast gales to the central and northern waters. Winds will rise
to storm force southeasterlies over the central waters late this
afternoon. Winds will shift to strong to gale force westerly behind
the system this evening.

A trough will move southward from Bowie to lie over the Queen
Charlotte Sound Wednesday evening. Ahead of the trough, winds will
rise to southwesterly gales over the central waters then shift to
strong to gale force northwesterly in its wake. Winds will subside
Wednesday evening.
