By 4:00 p.m. PST Thursday weakening trough located over Vancouver
Island.
At 4:00 a.m. PST today quasi-stationary ridge located over BC
interior.
At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight intensifying frontal system located
northwest of Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Thursday approaching frontal system located west
of Bowie.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:25 AM PST 18 February 2026 Gale force north or northwesterlies over the offshore waters willcontinue through late today.
An Arctic high pressure ridge over Northern British Columbia will
remain stationary over the British Columbia Interior. Gale force
outflow winds, with the potential of freezing spray, can be expected
through the mainland inlets along the north and Central Coast now
through Thursday morning. Outflow winds will periodically reach storm
force northeasterlies through the Central Coast inlets through today
and into tonight.
